Breakfast Goes To The Dogs
There are nearly eighty million dogs in America that eat over $3 billion in dog food each year.
(BUSINESS WIRE)-- And, just as the "humanization" of pets continues to grow, some of the health problems that plague Americans—namely, obesity and diabetes—are trickling down to the canine world.
"Similar to dieticians, most veterinarians now recommend more frequent meals with smaller portions for pets," says Barry Schwartz, CEO and Director of All American Pet Company, a California-based business that has made it its mission to make dog food healthy. "As people learn more about nutrition and the importance of healthy eating, and come to consider pets as part of the family, there's been an increased demand for better pet nutrition and wellness with a growing number of customers insisting on purchasing super premium dog food."
Coming soon to big-box retail stores and veterinary offices around the country, All American Pet Company has introduced the first-ever multigrain bar meal replacement for dogs, a convenient vitamin-enriched energy water drink for dogs, and a line of super premium breakfast cereal for pooches.
"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for people, and the same holds true for pets," says Mr. Schwartz. "We've introduced Bow Wow Breakfast(TM) Cereal, a super premium quality line of breakfast for dogs that's all natural with no sugar added and vitamin fortified with taurine for heart health and l-carnitine to help convert fat to energy."
Bow Wow Breakfast comes in a variety of flavors and textures, including: Chompions, Chewa-Bunga, and Fido Flakes each with smaller "nugget" sizes to aid digestion. "Kids love the packaging because it looks just like their own morning cereal," says Mr. Schwartz. "Now kids can have fun feeding their dogs just like mom and dad make breakfast for them."
The company has also introduced Grrr-nola(TM) Natural Dog Food, the first-ever full-meal replacement multigrain bars for dogs; an All-Day, Every-Day super Premium Dog Food Formula. Mr. Schwartz created the business with his wife, Lisa Bershan, the company's President and Director, formerly the founder of Incredible Edibles. Together, they share their lives with their beloved dogs Magoo and Starr. "The saying 'you are what you eat,'" says Mr. Schwartz, "is as true for pets as it is for those who love them."
